I’ve gone back and read your other Writer’s Write. You’ve selected thought-provoking quotes, as current now as when they were uttered.
Years ago I read everything I could find that Baldwin wrote. I rarely hear his name these days.
And Gao Xingjian? Who among us speaks for the Chinese whose voices we do not hear?
